Sentinel and Interceptor are heartworm preventatives that have not been in production since December of 2011. These were two of the best selling preventatives on the market due to their spectrum of activity against heartworm disease, gastrointestinal parasites and fleas and their absence was missed by veterinarians and pet owners alike. Sentinel contains milbemycin which prevents heartworm infection and treats roundworm, hookworm and whipworm infections. It also contains lufenuron which helps to control flea infestations. We at Hudson Animal Hospital have just learned of Sentinel’s return to the market and will be carrying this proven medication. Please call or stop by if you have any questions.
