Broadway Barks is happening again

Hudson Animal Hospital wants to remind you about this great annual event happening this weekend.

Marking its 16th anniversary, BROADWAY BARKS will again help hundreds of New York City’s shelter animals find permanent homes. The annual star-studded dog and cat adoption event featuring celebrities from the hottest shows on Broadway will benefit New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies and inform New Yorkers about the plight of the thousands of homeless dogs and cats in the metropolitan area. The event is free and open to the public.

On Saturday, July 12th the festivities begin at 3:00 p.m. in Shubert Alley (located between 44th and 45th Streets, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue), where you can meet all the adoptable dogs and cats; celebrity presentations of pets from animal shelters citywide will take place between 5-6:30 p.m.

Funds raised from a raffle, silent auction, signed memorabilia sales, and donations are distributed to the participating shelters and rescue groups and to the Mayor’s Alliance Medical Fund, which provides grants to shelters and rescue groups to cover extraordinary veterinary costs. Visit the Broadway Barks website broadwaybarks.com for details.

Head down to Shubert Alley on July 12th for Broadway Barks and enjoy a fun, furry filled day. Feel free to call Hudson Animal Hospital with any questions about your adopted pet and don’t forget to set up your first check-up appointment.
